About
Acme Apps makes small, focused apps that do one thing well. Each one starts with a problem I actually have, like a bike computer I can read in full sun, or knowing how fast the car behind me is going, and stops once that problem is solved.
Principles
- Small on purpose. No feature lists padded for a comparison chart. If a screen doesn't earn its place, it goes.
- Private by default. No accounts, no logins, no ads, no tracking. Your data stays on your device unless you choose to send it somewhere.
- Pay once. Paid apps are a fair one-time price, not a subscription. Utilities are free.
- Accessible from day one. Accessibility is part of the design, not a fix added later.
- Native. Built to feel at home on iPhone and Mac.
Who builds it

I'm Brian Glaeske, a retired user experience designer who specialized in interaction design.
I spent sixteen years at Microsoft designing business software for Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Talent. I was the UI architect for its web presentation framework, wrote its accessibility and HTML/CSS guidelines, and hold a patent for an adaptable user interface for business software. After that I spent nine years as Director of Product and User Experience at FarmQA. I designed their apps and website and built their design system.
Now I get to make the apps I want to use. I build them with SwiftUI and agentic AI coding tools, which lets one designer ship what used to take a team. The lesson I'm keeping from my career is that the best design feedback comes straight from the people using the product.
